Site Visits

Gateway clients can request an onsite visit from one of our licensed risk managers. This onsite visit includes a review of the practice's electronic medical records system to make sure all information is secure and up-to-date. Working with practice managers and employees, our risk manager will also review the office systems and all procedures.  Following the site visit, practice owners and managers will receive an detailed risk assessment and a plan for reducing risk.

When questions involving a medical-legal issue arise (e.g., withdrawing or withholding life-sustaining treatment, reporting under the Safe Medical Device Act, improper release of medical information, etc.), Gateway personnel are available for consultation. We find that this is a particularly valuable service for those facilities that lack in-house professionals well-versed in responding to professional liability or risk management issues.
